Since the last newsletter we have emailed 140 community groups in Hadleigh to find out if they would like to be involved in the festival and contacted parish councils on the River Brett, and its tributaries, to see if they’d like to join in too.
We have already received some exciting offers to run river themed art and history exhibitions, sessions on drumming, singing, music and dance, as well as performing a play and producing materials about the river, it’s history and wildlife.
Thanks to the enthusiasm of local groups we are beginning to see what the festival could look like.
The River Festival Working Group is meeting again on March 19th 7.30pm at the Leisure Centre. Come along if you’d like to be involved.
